Applications

Color masterbatch for high-temperature fluoropolymer processing

Durafluor masterbatches are formulated for melt-extrusion of FEP, PFA, ETFE and PVDF at processing temperatures above 260 ℃. Core application: specialty wire & cable insulation coloring — in batch supply to leading Chinese cable manufacturers.

Application Detail

Where Durafluor masterbatch fits

The primary application is specialty wire & cable insulation. The same heat- and chemical-resistant color is equally suitable for other melt-processable fluoropolymer extrusion, where conventional pigments cannot withstand the processing temperature.

The primary application for all Durafluor masterbatch series. Used for coloring and blending fluoropolymer insulation and jacketing on conductors — including FEP, PFA, ETFE and PVDF insulated cables. In batch supply to leading Chinese cable manufacturers. Recommended addition rate: 1–5% depending on wall thickness (0.15–≥0.5 mm).

FEP, PFA and ETFE masterbatches are suitable for coloring extruded fluoropolymer tubing and hose profiles. The high-purity carrier resin preserves the chemical resistance and flexibility properties of the host fluoropolymer.

High-frequency data cables, plenum-rated (CMP) cables and electronics interconnect wires often require FEP or ETFE insulation. Durafluor masterbatches provide precise color coding without degrading the electrical performance of the insulation.

Automotive wiring systems using fluoropolymer insulation require reliable color coding for circuit identification. FEP and ETFE masterbatches are suitable where high operating temperatures and chemical exposure call for fluoropolymer materials.

Extruded fluoropolymer profiles, liners and protective sleeving for industrial applications. PFA and ETFE are preferred for high-temperature and chemical-process environments where color coding aids installation and maintenance.
